Pre-Departure

Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well and enjoying summer! I just wanted to write a quick note to let you all know about my blog that I know have worked out, thanks to one of my best friends from home Rachel. Just last weekend I figured out how to use symbols in text messages on my new phone...so that should give you an idea of my level of technological knowledge. Anyway, I leave in about two and a half weeks- August 24th. The date has come up really fast! I am done with work this week, at Fraboni's and the organic vegetable farm I interned at this summer, so I'll have time to organize, relax and see friends and family before I go. I'll be in Ecuador from the end of August until I return in December for about two weeks. Then I'll head back in January and return again to the states in May. I'll be updating this blog as often as I can, writing about what I see and do, classes at the university, people I meet, and my travels Hopefully, I'll be able to upload pictures on the site as well, that is, once I learn how to use my digital camera! I'll be writing another blog before I leave, so you'll hear again from me soon, probably sounding a bit more frantic!
